Day Five - Patterdale to Shap
Wed. 13th May 2009
Postscript to yesterday:- Everso sorry but forgot to tell you. Someone must have been looking down on me as we arranged this trip. I had decided that I would take with me both my pairs of hiking boots in an attept to reduce the possibility of blisters by changing them each day.

Good jiob I did this was the condition of my TOG24
pair when we arrived at Paterdale. Split to buggery - now in the bin.
|
Overnight:- White Lion: - It's a pub just like the other day at Ennerdale. Clean - yes but no welcome. Did eat there last night and did have lamb (see photo from yesterday) melt in the mouth Lamb Henry (Lamb Shank if you don't know the lakes). Requested breakfast for 07:30 if possible (we knew we had a long day ahead of us) The welcome we got this morning from the lady was rather cold. it seems that we had got her up earlier than usual.
