Day Zero - Our Trip to St. Bees

Well that's that we've done the required distance 200plus miles in just over 4 hours. We fully expected it to take us much longer but we've knocked it off in a day. We can go home now - yes? Okay so now you want to change the rules eh. We have to walk it, 200 miles - starting tomorrow -so now you tell us.
Okay just mucking about. We drove up this afternoon (Friday) straight from work at 12 noon. A1 to Scotch Corner then A66 into the Lakes and onto Keswick and finally onward to the Western Lakes, arriving at St Bees about 4 or just gone. Weather is lovely here sun and sand after a few showers on the way. Found the B&B, checked in and went straight out again for a walk. Found a pub and that was that.
Stonehouse Farm seems a nice place but more about that in tomorrow's report.
Got to go now we have a table reserved for dinner at 7:30 and I still have to wash up (Not the pots - me)
Back now, we ate at a recently renovated pub just up the way - The Manor. Cumberland Suasage all round was the order of the day - scrummy. Bed Time
